Progress starts with stepping away. As lawyers, this is hard to do. We get lost in the noise. So much so that by the time we realize we are running in a circle, it is already too late because we have gone too deep.  

Progress is built on things that scale. Building once, selling twice. At a certain point progress will stall because you cant do everything yourself all at once.  

Stepping away is not removing yourself from the equation. Its rising above it to shift the numbers around to make things add up, or multiply to make things scale and compound.

The pattern of progress is to step away and look down on everything as machines that produce outcomes. What the legal industry has yet to master is utilizing this method for progress and leveraging technology to scale.

To reach new heights, the titans of history programmed their knowledge to scale and leveraged it with the technology of their time. My goal is to do the same though working with startups and developing technology that helps law firms scale.
